
What stands out for me, is that you're basically trapped either way:
On the LHS:

 - This leaves a trapping square on the left too.
 - This leaves a trapping square on the left too.Interesting in this case, at least you can potentially rescue two meeple, if you draw the tile, for the RHS.
There are other scenarios that leave a meeple trapped either way. I'll post one when I see it next.
